Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Database Administration and ETL to support technical service requests involving complex database systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle and MS SQL Server platforms, data loading tools, SQL programming, and system integration within client-server and web environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and administer relational databases (Oracle and MS SQL Server).
- Implement and manage Oracle RAC, ASM on SAN, Fusion Middleware components, and Oracle Cloud Control.
- Perform end-to-end ETL processes including data evaluation, encryption/decryption, conversion, loading, and reconciliation.
- Optimize SQL queries and Oracle performance through tuning and statistics generation.
- Develop and maintain SOPs to ensure high availability of ODAS systems.
- Coordinate deployments with system administrators and DAS staff.
- Provide real-time support and troubleshooting for ODAS system users.
- Lead version upgrades, patches, and silent installations of Oracle infrastructure and middleware.
- Analyze complex systems using ER diagrams, data dictionaries, and logic flow diagrams.
- Translate project requirements into detailed system and design specifications.
- Guide and mentor junior staff members.
- Research and implement big data and unstructured database solutions, including feasibility studies of social media data.
- Ensure secure data transmission using SAIG, SFTP, VPN NetScaler, and other protocols.
- Implement Oracle and Linux security measures including Shell scripting and WebLogic configurations.
- Experience: 6–10 years as a SME in Database Administration and ETL.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Technical Expertise:
- Oracle tools: SQL*Loader, Data Pump, SQL Plus, PL/SQL, Toad.
- ETL automation using Windows/Linux scripts.
- Oracle performance tuning and optimizer statistics.
- SDLC processes and technical documentation.
- Oracle Fusion Middleware (OAM, OUD, BI Publisher).
- Security implementation: Oracle TDE/Wallet, Database Vault.
- Data transmission protocols: SAIG, SFTP, VPN NetScaler.
- Encryption tools: PKI/GPG, PERL scripting.
- Shell programming, MS SharePoint, MS Office.
- Oracle WebLogic Server and related components.
