The Sr. Tableau Developer will support the development of business intelligence solutions and analytics products. The developer will use Tableau to build dashboards, Python and R to create models, and SQL and Excel to explore data. The developer will also make technical documentation and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure end products satisfy their goals and can be maintained in the long-term.

Responsibilities
- Develop analytics products, dashboards, and models that drive value and insight into client business.
- Build data pipelines using Python and SQL into and aggregated tables.
- Manage data pipelines integrated with and enterprise data lake.
- Design, build, test, and optimize queries and data cleanups.
- Perform Tableau server administration – core optimization, site management, and troubleshooting.
- Support creation of ad hoc and standard operational reports
- Recommend Tableau platform capabilities and features to create advanced visualizations and implement reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand data, perform analysis, and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Update dashboard user guides and technical design documents.
- Conduct regular dashboard, code, and architecture maintenance.
Required Skills/Abilities, Experience
- Ability to translate user requirements and build reports and analytics products according to specifications.
- Strong background in data analysis and experience working with large data sets.
- Data visualization in Tableau, D3, and/or Power BI.
- Database management in Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Strong Python and/or R programming skills.
- Experience using advanced techniques and implement features like variables, data filters, key performance metrics, and user access requirements.
- 5-8 years of design and development experience in reporting and analytics
- 5+ years of experience using Tableau Desktop and Server
- Strong experience in SQL development, including writing complex queries, sub queries etc.
- Knowledge of dashboards and report visualization best practices
- Experience in working in Agile environment.
