Job Description:
The analyst will be responsible for validating that refactored applications meet all performance, functional, and compliance benchmarks prior to deployment into AWS.
This is an ideal role for someone with a strong background in QA methodologies who is passionate about ensuring mission-critical software meets the highest standards of quality and reliability in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans, including functional, regression, and integration tests.
  • Validate application compliance with NOAA IT Security and Federal Data Strategy requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams and analysts to refine acceptance criteria and user stories.
  • Contribute to the creation of quality reports, metrics dashboards, and compliance documentation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance or testing roles.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Understanding of testing strategies in cloud environments, including performance metrics.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ISTQB Certified Tester or similar industry certification.
  • Experience with AWS-native testing tools and cloud validation practices.
  • Experience with automation scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and performance testing.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing cycles and prioritize tasks.
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
